About ELSA Families

ELSA (Early Learning STEM Australia) is a play-based digital learning program for children in preschool and Foundation Year to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

This ELSA Families web app provides fun and simple activities that you can do with your child as you go about your everyday life. There are activities you can do inside your home, outside your home, and while out and about.

The Families web app is just one aspect of the wider ELSA Program. This program contains 4 Children’s apps, an Educator app, and more than 100 off-app activities that children can do in their centre or classroom as well as outside in nature.

Watch the video below, starring our ELSA Ambassador Luke Carroll, to find out more about what children do with ELSA. You can also find out lots more over on our About page and the official ELSA Program website.

ELSA Program

Preschool and Foundation

The ELSA children’s apps go beyond the screen to encourage active play and act as a springboard for children to explore the natural world. The apps prompt children to ask quesitons, make predictions, experiment, and reflect on what happened and why.

These apps are the digital component of the ELSA Preschool and Foundation Year Program. They are only available to preschools and schools who have signed up to the ELSA Program.
